Fancy Friday: Something about me - birthday nails!

Today is my 24 year birthday and I had too little time on my hands because of preparations for this day so you will only get to see my birthday nails for this challenge. Today all my closest friends are invited and Saturday I invited my family and my boyfriends nearest family.

I had so many possibilities for my birthday nails, but at last I chose to work with warm purple and light pink - and glitter of cause, it is a party;)

Colors used is:
OPI "Pamplona Purple" - base for 8 nails and base for bow on ring finger
China Glaze "Something Sweet" - base for ring finger and bow on middle finger
Orly "Ridiculously Regal" - over pamplona purple and one glitter placed at the center of the ring finger bow
China Glaze "Put A Bow On It" - glitter over the bow on the ring finger
OPI "Snowflakes In The Air" - one big glitter placed at the center of the middle finger bow

I love it and it is the perfect colors for me.
hope you have a great day and that the weather isn't too bad (I don't promise anything;))

Beginners Guide to Nails: about nails and polish

Hi girls
Some of you requested a beginners guide to nails and nail polish. Leave me a question if you think I haven't answered all you wanted to know and I will either respond to you or I will add the question to the blogpost with the answer - so this post might be updated and there could be reason to check back again some other day:)

If you are a nail biter go to this post first: http://kuchensclaws.com/?p=137

Lets get started! Basics first

Getting strong nails:
If your nails are week you may be unlucky but there is some things you can try to make them better.
Supplement pills such as B Vitamin can help you if you don't get the max your body can take. It will give you protein to build both your nails and hair with and it will give strength from the inside. There is no way the pills will do you any harm if you only take one per day. If your body has gotten the vitamins max through your food is will just come out of your body with your pee, and if that is the case you will not get any effect out of the pills and your week nails might just be unlucky. If it works for you however you will love this supplement and it can do great things for you.
I will recommend supplements before anything else because it will strengthen from the inside and it will last the longest after you maybe stop taking the pills so you can pause the intake and it should not make a big problem.

The other thing you can do is to use basecoats that strengthen. Some as Heromes are also a 14 days cure, but it will strengthen the nail growing out of you that in some time will be chopped of, so its not like you use the product 14 days and you have strong nails forever, it just makes a new stronger start where a ordinary hardening basecoat may help you rest of the way.

How to behave with long nails:
A rule is that you don't use your nails as tools, cause there is no way they can open a can of soda without being damaged. A great idea is to always carry a little knife or be creative as me and use a key you don't need for all things possible where you would think you cut use your nails. When you first get used to thinking you can use anything else this will not be a handicap, and it will not take any time. If you still use your nails after reading this you don't care enough and you may first learn the day you get a really bad break into your finger. I think this is very important as you can tell:P
Next step is how to behave to make your manicure last as long as possible without chipping. A good basecoat is of cause needed and will be mentioned later, but your way to use your nails is also important. My nails almost never chip but they get worn on the tips because I scratch myself to much, but I am aware of that and if you know what is causing the problems you can begin behaving in other ways. Don't make excuses as "Well such is life, I type a lot on my computer", cause even that you can change. I don't ever touch the laptop with my nails. I had a time where I had extremely long nails and I got used to having my hand much more horizontal while typing so I only touch with my flesh parallel under my nails. It works just as fine or even better because I don't have to type slowly. So think about this and see what you do often that may not be good for your nails.

Filing or cutting - what's best for the nail?
Cutting your nails can actually make the nails break a little bit inside and therefore if you do something with your nails it will have more reason to break. That's not nice, and therefore filing is the only way to shorten your nails in my head. Filing also gives much more control over the shape you want to reach and it is possible to make the nail more unlikely to break - this I will show you next week where my theme is to tell about my filing.
Buffing is great if you have slight ridges or you have some other reason to want your nails to be shiny and smooth. Don't do it to hard to often though, we don't want to weaken our nails by making them to thin. A buffer is a nail file with four different sides with different grit, and a ordinary nail file will never be a good idea for this as it's grit often is to harsh.

Lasting manicures?
Even the finest nail polish needs a clean base and the best way for getting your nails ready to grip the polishes is degreasing the nail, most efficient is clean acetone. It is drying because it removes the natural oils on the nail but these oils will make nails polish peel off.
Hot water and baths with steam will probably make your many go wet again if your mani just dried. Baths to often will weaken every manicure (as its also bad for the would you should think about maybe only bathing 2-3 times a week, some people can actually with no problems only bath one time a week - anybody want a blogpost about baths or cleaning the body?)
Basecoat is the thing that will bind the nail polish to your nail. It can make your nails whiter, it can be a hardener, it can make them grow and it can prevent discoloration... there are so many ways they can help and so many products that even I myself haven't got one favorite yet, I am still trying a lot of things out. But something I have found out that I like is to dilute. If a basecoat is to thin it doesn't protect enough for me and i like it to make a smooth surface with no ridges being seen and with completely ordinary basecoats I can get this effect with always having the right thickness. I usually go between OPI and Essie which are very thin at start. When the polish then gets to thick I always have a new bottle I dilute with. In that way I always have the perfect consistency.
This is actually also the case with Topcoat for me, I don't like it to thin but I don't go diluting different products for my basecoat. Topcoat is for sealing the polish/design, make a smooth surface and it can harden the manicure as letting the mani dry more quick in depth than others. I long loved Rimmels superdry topcoat, but of cause I have to give Poché credit after I finally went and tried it. It does dry way more quick in depth and it does make every thing more easy. Other people loves seche vite fast drying topcoat but it is not 3 free as Poshé is (if you don't know what 3 free is then google it, it is some chemicals that isn't put in the product because they can be bad)

Nail Polish:
The quality of nail polish can vary much. My favorite brands is OPI and Essie but there are many and many possibilities. One thing you must always remember is that all brands, even the expensive ones, does have some fails in their collections. Therefore google is your friend in many ways both for looking up swatches, searching for the perfect color and for reading about if this gorgeous polish have a good or bad consistency.
One-coaters are very rare, two-coaters is great, three-coaters is okay but everything above that may be to much, especially for a beginner.

Applying nail polish
You don't need to wait long time between every layer cause each new layer will make the layers under be wet again. If your nail polish is decent quality you should be able to apply second layer to nail number 1 when you finished first layer on nail number 10.
If you are too quick or just not that trained (it will get more easy in time) and you get some out of the lines a easy way to make this right again it to take something as your nail files tip or your cuticle cutter and just remove the polish from the skin. If it's very runny or there is to much polish you have to do it some times until its fine. This is easy to do with no harm as long as the polish is wet. If it happens you don't finish your manicure with this problem but you straighten it up immediately. And they you will be happy I promise:) After this it is easy to clean up any other mistakes with a swab dipped in polish remover/acetone. If you only use acetone it will be a good idea to use hand creme more often.
How many strokes and which order you do the strokes I don't care about, its most crucial that the polish lays good on the nail and covers all. For me it is very important that the polish covers evenly. A way to check this is to watch what you do and check the layer you think is the last by holding your hand up against some light. Is your polish very opaque you should not see any light through your nails, is this not the case you can see if a nail have a hole in the lower layers. This can show imperfections I would later see and get frustrated about, but again, I am a perfectionist and this may not irritate you.
A good light and a table with the right height is important. To me its also important that I sit comfortable, else I will not enjoy polishing as much as I do.

Girly Bits Elephant shoe og OVbunEN

Hello Ladies, welcome to a new year:) exams, 30 days to my birthday and all that jazz that usually comes at this time of year. Anybody else already thinking about getting a year older this year?

It has been a long time since I bought these polishes, but... then fall came, then christmas.. and for once I was not into pastels that mush this season, but I am happy that the time for pastels is coming closer, and therefore, I thought this was the best time for showing you these polishes.

When I first saw OVbunEN a part of me died... and I knew that I could only be a whole person again when I owned this polish and I ordered the day it was released! It was a little expensive with shipping costs, and they had a offer that I could get the set og OvbunEN and Elephant Shoe for 18 dollars instead of the one for 13, so I was a naughty little girl and bought them both :D was about 180 DK.

Again I wanted to wait posting this until my language shift on the blog, but you shall wait no longer<3

Elephant Shoe - a grey creme polish that needs two thick coats of tree thin coats of polish. Ideal light grey if you ask me and I was actually missing this in my stash. It's not unique, but a necessary polish. I needed to learn how to polish with it but when you know it a little better it is easy to work with, but not as easy as OPI for example.

OVbunEN - is a glitter in a clear base. The glitter is different sizes and the colors are blue, light pink, reddish purple and yellow. It also have some transparent barglitters in it that shines blue, but they are not so obvious and I am happy about that. It is very unique and very pretty. Elephant Shoe is the perfect background, but I am sure this glitter will suit many colors. The glitter is very dense so you don't need to go hunting for it, it's more likely you need to get some of the brush to get the right amount on the nail if you want to see the base color. In theory I think it could cover on itself at maybe three coats, but I wouldn't recommend it because the glitter isn't very bendable but a little stiff, so overlapping will make it impossible for topcoat to even out. I used to coats of topcoat after the glitter. But the glitter is easy to replace on the nail as long as the base is still wet and not drying.

I myself have been looking at some of the new Girly Bits holos but that can't be for now.
Others than me that strongly feel the own to few Girly Bits polishes?

Fancy Friday: Music - Enigma: Beyond The Invisible

Hi girls

My favorite music piece of all time is Enigma "Beyond the invisible"
I love that I understand it without undeastanding it (thats how i feel about all enigma songs and thats what atracts me), but this song opens up a magic world and some feelings inside me, and I cant listen to this song without becoming more happy. A fact about my love for enigma is also the music videos, I will raher see and listen than just listen to this cause the questions in my mind really pops up when I watch the music video.

Favorite lines:
"It is time
To break the chains of life
If you follow you will see
What's beyond reality"

OMG its so spiritual, maybe that why I don't understand it:P especially the three men with the weird hats.... I don't have a clue what the heck that means but i know they are on the cover of the cd.

My design for today has the theme of the video with the enchanced forrest with nymphs in the threes and a ice lake.
The polishes used is:
Essie "Parka Perfect" - as base + used it for the girl
Essie "School of hard rocks" - blended between the ice and the forrest to make a gradient (the blending looks more natural in reality)
Emily de Molly "Monets Garden" - as the forrest
Essie "Sew Psyched" - as the tree
OPI "Alpine Snow" - blended over Essie "Parka Perfect" to make the illusion of ice + used it for the nymph
Essie "Pure Pearlfection" - put over the ice to make it more alive (sadly this doesn't show in pictures:( )

The nymph was of cause hard to do and demanded patience and control but I think shes alright when you think about how small she is. (wish for wider and not as rounded nails:P)

And here in flash:

And here is a quick picture of Essie "Parka Perfect" on it's own. Don't buy it because of the shimmercause its really almost not there (much worse than the Naugty Nautical collection), but still a lovely color that only needs two coats for 100% complete coverage. Nice and easy polish. And Essie "Pure Pearlfection" over it is a really great idea.

Swatch: Winter Zoya picks

Heey peeps

In december I placed a big order on Zoya nail polishes. Some where out of season and some I didn't like as much (some of these I will talk about in a upcoming series of texture polishes comparisons), but some of them I love to death and really want to show you.

I only chose 3 where two are pixie dusts and one is holographic (sorry there aren't any regular polishes, "Nimue" will be my pick for next winter)
From left to right: Nyx, Chyna & Payton.

Zoya "Nyx" - The downer for this is how many coats this take to be opaque. I used 3-4 coats and some places I had to place a little more because the color didn't spread evenly for me. But it is a lovely dusty blue shade with of cause the texture and the silver glitter Zoya's pixie dust often have. This would be perfect with snow on the ground in January - of cause we didn't get any snow, only one day of January Denmark's capital area got a fine layer and the next day it was gone. Sad but still a lovely shade, but I don't think I will reach for this except for in the wintertime

Zoya "Chyna" - the perfect red shade with red glitter and of cause the texture effect. It looks much more bright in the bottle as it of cause dries matte which makes it a little lighter and soft on the nail. The glitter sparkles incredibly and this is Christmas in a bottle and I can tell without any doubt that this is my favorite red of all time! It's so flattering on me even though I don't like red on me much, but this i would like to wear many times in the future. It only needs two coats to reach full opacity. <3

Zoya "Payton" - a dark purple scattered holographic polish. Compared to Zoya "Aurora" it is much more dark and much more warm toned and maybe a little less holographic - despite that fact I actually like Payton more than Aurora (my would is put upside down haha). It does cover the nail in two coats but covers so light woun't go throu my nail at 3 coats. It is vampy, sexy and gorgerous and something really unique for winter.

I wish Zoyas website shipped to Europe.... they have just had a deal about getting 3 free Zoyas only for paying the shipping! Even the shipping to Denmark would be a lot greater deal than the prizes on ebay where I have to get them, but that's life. They are still one of my favorite brands<3

What are your zoya picks for this winter? And will you get any of these?

Fancy Friday: To Go Mani

If somebody asked me this summer what my technique for a go to mani would be last summer my answer would be polka dots - and I first wanted to do this again because it was so long ago since I made that design, but then I realized that the reason why it is so long ago is because my go to technique have changed.

After rediscovering stamping this fall have used the technique whenever I could. It has really grown on me and is a freaking amazing and easy way to do something spectacular.

My only problem is that its hard to choose what to do because of all the possibilities:P

For today I used Colors Club "Foil Me Once" as background, its a lovely foil and I actually like it most mattified so Essie Matte About You was added lastly.
I stamped a leopard design from the MoYou pro 04 plate with OPI "Pamplona Purple"

I think the outcome is fun and girly and I will remember this color combination<3

Beginners Guide to Nails: Stop biting nails

Hi girls.

In 2006 just before my big public school graduation exams I decided to stop biting my nails after doing it as long as I could remember. Of cause it is different for everybody why they bite, it you do it because you are afraid it might be more difficult than it was for me, my reason was just boredom and pastime when I stopped, but I started because I was afraid of the nail cutter my mother used when I was a little girl. Even today I don't cut unless I am going short from very long, normally I only file my nails down. Maybe I also bited because my fright for my dads drinking problem, but as I cant remember any of it I cant tell for sure, but for me this fright was gone when I was ready to stop.
My parents wanted me to stop and tied many times with stupid things as tricking me with a bad tasting polish. I needed my biting at that time and was a way to clever girl to stop biting because it tasted bad so I sucked the taste right off and bited on.

What is my point by telling you my story? That I believe that you yourself are the only person that can get you to stop biting and you will only stop if you really want to. I didn't see anything wrong in my biting as a child, but when I was ready and made the decision I didn't need any help. I decided to stop one day, and I did and have never bited my nails ever since. I was not a strong person at that time, I was actually very weak, and that's why I think that every body that really want can stop.
If you are a concerned parent then you must not think your child is stupid, what good will come out of that except that your child will know you think that. You can talk with them about how it is bad, but you should never give them negative attention and belittle them - then they may need biting even more because they will feel disrespected.

I think that's a perspective I wished my parents have had.

And I have to say that getting gel and acrylic false nails is a really bad idea. It ruins even the best nails and when your nails are already ruined you will never get them strong if you do this. Besides that you will not gain any length to your own nails if you don't decide to stop biting, so it doesn't make any sense for a biter to use this method. There are things you can use to get your nails to grow and get strong after you have stopped and everybody should try that before they give up on their nails.

When you have stopped biting you are left with very weak thin nails and you want to strengthen them and get them to grow faster. Don't go out and use money on things before you have decided to stop. They are week because your hands know there is no reason to produce strong nails as you ruin them just as they grow out, so a boost for your nails quality is vitamin B pills that gives protein to your body. Both your nails and hair will get something out of this. There is a maximum for how much the body can absorb and the rest of the pills will get out of your body with your urine, you will not get problems inside your body with these pills unless you take to many a day. If you only take one per day you are completely out of danger and because of the maximum there is no reason to take more:)
Before your nails have gained some strength you should forget about getting long nails, cause it will often be too dangerous because they can break, so be patient and use the right things.
The vitamins worked amazing for me and I think it is because my biting resulted in thin nails. I took the pills for three years just because my mom continued buying them, but a few months after I started on them I had much more strong nails than ever. I still have periods where I take the pills, but the effect is long lasting. My nails got extremely thick and hard and many years went by without any nails ever broke.

Another great thing to invest in is a nail hardener, but they only protect the nail, but it will not do anything inside your body that will get your nails to grow out of your body stronger, therefore you need the pills and a hardener is not enough.
But you shall keep them SHORT for some time, not cut them all the way down. When you bite your nail bed will get very small and in time it will get longer as the skin reaches the nails again and grow together as they Where ment to. For me this was complete after three years so that is what takes the longest to fix.
To wear nail polish on a daily basis will also strengthen your nails - but in my eyes you dont want to wear polish befor you stop biting because you dont want any attention on your nails, so for gods sake wait with polish till you have stopped! :S

Hope this helps somebody and just ask me anything in the comments if you have questions<3

Swatch: Dollish Pollish Poor Unfortunate Souls

I am not a person to like dark colors on my nails for the most part... But this manicure made me look at things in another way and I have been more likely to wear dark colors  (and reds, I really jumped out of the closed) this winter and I have my eye on China Glaze "Charmed I'm Sure" and really cant wait to order it but i cant do anything before my new credit card arrives sadly:P Let us all wish for it to be soon.

The polish of today is a glitter from Dollish Pollish named "Poor Unfortunate Souls"
I bought this from a private person in a group on facebook, and I could not believe my eyes to see it for sale. Not that its rare, it's just fabulous! One of my best buys in 2013, and for weeks the song was spinning in my head.

The consistency is great and easy to put on because there is the right amount of base compared to glitter, not to mush or to little, just great.
It has black glitters in many sizes and forms, also squares and black stars, and therefore it would be sad to put it over black in my opinion. I put it over H&M "Midnight Mystery"
Of other colors of glitter in the polish is purple, pink, light blue, silver and white, in a mix og matte and holographic glitter.

And here is two pictures of it mattified with Essie Matte About You

If i could find myself in a dark polish (as I never thought i would) this would be the polish!
I've already bought another from the brand, again from a private seller and i will show that in some time. I am opening my eyes for this brand. Many are not at all my style, but others look really great and would be unique in my collection.

Thank you to the seller<3

Fancy Friday: Waterfall

Hi girls

Today the challenge is waterfall manicure. A thing I have long wanted to try but didn't because I didn't have the time. I didn't thought it was going to be hard but it actually challenged my perfectionist brain a bit and the pictures I show is for my second time trying because my brush on first design was to thick. I cutted the brush thinner and tried again.

Colors used:
China Glaze "Something Sweet" as base color and for the stripes:
OPI "Alping Snow", OPI "Pamplona Purple", China Glaze "Rendezvous With You" and Color Club "Foil Me One"

Finished design in daylight. really love the color combination, and i had totally forgotten about CG "Something Sweet"... its stunning!

The design in flash
Next time I will use the dark colors first instead of last cause I felt i had to little space for it and then it got hard at the same time to do perfects stripes. So this is a place I do need practice and I'm a little sad to have to show this with all the faults.

but on a distance it looks good:P

Beauty: Favorite Perfumes for the cold months

Hi girls

If you don't know I can tell you that for one and a half year ago I didn't own any perfumes. The reason for this is that my father is very allergic and gets problems with his breathing being in a room with a person wearing perfume or maybe only washed her clothes with a perfumed product - and if he has this problems he gets really angry and gets very unpleasant. I take perfume allergies very seriously and as long as I visited home once per week I kept away from it to spare him. One and a half year ago I moved far away from home and now see my father few times a year. I wanted to experience what was so amazing about scents as I've always lived in a neutral home for that matter, and I got hooked cause smells are amazing. If I want to visit my parent I don't use anything with perfume in it for a week before, then he will not have a problem, but it means that every visit I really have to plan.
This don't mean anything to me right now as it's going to be a long time before I see him again because of a argument.

Back to the contents of this blogpost.

My style in perfumes at winter is sweet spices, warm, powdery, some flowers, but I despise soapy scents
All are eau de parfum and common brands, mostly because I can't afford expensive perfumes and are so greedy that I don't want one quality perfume but want a quantity of nice perfumes, so I have a scent for every mood. And I like small sizes, don't need a 50 ml perfume either cause I will never use it up because I use all so frequently. That said my five picks for this blogpost is not all I wore this winter at all, but they are my winter recommendations:)

My favorite perfumes of the wintertime is:
The Body Shop "Brazil Nut" and "Chocomania", Avril Lavigne "Wild Rose", Mariah Carey "M", Naomi Campbell "At Night".

The cozy one:
The Body Shop "Brazil Nut" - this is a really warm scent amazing as it sounds, but it does make you feel warm and cozy almost like burned almonds they sell on the street in Denmark every winter. I actually bought this just before fall and even for summer when it is warm this is a really pleasant smell I think. I was crazy about this in the fall, I almost didn't use anything else. Do you live close to a body shop and don't know this scent you must hurry! It smells nutty and natural but its a nice scent I smell on me all day on my wrists, but because it is so natural I don't find the scent overpowering at any point. This is really one of my all time favorites. And cheap<3

The eatable one:
The Body Shop "Chocomania" - This smells of chocolate but on me the smell changes a bit and fades much away. What I like about it is when I put in on, then it is very nice but i wish it lasted longer as the scent smells first. It don't smell quite as natural as "Brazil nut", and it has an undertone of something else I don't really find that pleasant, maybe actually a little strong citrus. I wish it was more balmy. Something I have found to be a fact for The Body Shop is that theirs perfume lines can smell different in the products, for an example I always find their Body Butters with more obvious perfume scents instead of the scent clean. I also own a Lip Butter and a Beautifying Oil with the chocomania scent, and the Beautifying Oil smells just as I wanted this to. But I didn't wanted to put a product with another purpose than perfume in this post, just wanted to point this fact out. I do like the scent and the perfume of this range. For the summer I will buy the coconut and maybe the raspberry and vanilla.

The sweet one:
Avril Lavigne "Wild Rose" - is not a rose scent if you ask me, if it was I would not like it:) This is more of a sweet candy scent with a little citrus but still balmy and pleasant in my opinion. I actually have two of these 15 ml bottles, one at home and one at my boyfriends home, and the bottle there is almost half empty, so i use this a lot. This is one of the perfumes I for some time meant was a possible signature perfume for me. It works well with my skin, lasts a good while. Besides that the bottle is my favorite perfume bottle, some may find it stupid but I love it.
You can read about the notes here

The next two perfumes is the first ones I've ever bought. It was at a sale and both was in boxes without any tester, so I gambled because of the great offer and got both for 200 DKK. Happily I liked them very much:P

The sexy one:
Mariah Carey "M" - This is a strong scent compared to the others, it don't look like I used it much but i did, with this scent you just only needs two sprays. It is smokey and sexy and at the same time has some sweetness and balmy over it. I've not used this a long time, maybe because it is what I will call a night scent and i never bring it if I'm going somewhere later because I'm stupid, but it is great and I love it.

The individual one:
Naomi Campbell "At Night" - This is a perfume that smells amazing from the bottle but on me smells very different on my skin, but still totally amazing. I have no idea how I should describe this. First when sprayed it has citrus scents but that changes and it gets more and more sweet and balmy, a little soapy but in a clean and simple way, and then it lays flat on the skin for many hours in a very subtle, simple and still sweet, balmy way but maybe also a little flowers. It smells sweeter from the bottle than on my skin but its a really pleasant day perfume in my head. If you think of buying this i recommend to try a tester on your hand and test it the whole day to experience it before buy. I also can link to the notes here but I don't agree in the notes placing chosen by people, but the company's note pyramid is what I experience more or less.

I hope this was helpful:)

Swatch: Rimmel Space Dust texture polishes

Hello again ladies
Today is time for swatches of the three Rimmel Space Dust polishes I bought when I was in London in the autumn. These polishes should not be heading for Denmark (where i live), but maybe they will reach Asos.com so the Danes can get some space dust :o
Rimmel have been some bastards and have not put the polish in their bottles with 12 ml, but in their small of 8 ml. That is sad, but the evil way the world works. I love these so much I would like more in the bottles, so scroll down and you will find what is inside these small tempting bottles of wonder, magic and omg.

Luna Love - is totally crazy cool to have in my collection i think. It is a magenta nail polish with blue shimmer that really stands out with the texture. Compaired to Zoya Arabella and Nicole By OPI My Cherry Amour, besides the different finishes (shimmer: rimmel, metallic: Zoya, holo: NOPI) the base color on this is a little more red and Arabella is the most purple. This neded two-three coats, I used three, but maybe some will be satisfied only with two, I am just to anal in that way. This polish I think is the most unique texture out there right now.

Total Eclipse - a black base with blue-toned green shimmer that stands out perfect because of the texture. Two coats is surprisingly all it needed to look as fantastic as it does, and even though
1. I don't like dark colors on my nails
2. I don't like black on my nails
3. I don't like green on my nails
... I do actually really like this. Maybe it was because of my short nails at the time I took the photos, I'm not sure I would like the color on long nails, it looks witchy to me, but like this, it was just great. Very beautiful!

Moon Walking - is a purple glitter texture polish. It is very close to my purple Depend texture polish and because they don't think I need more than 5 ml i have not used it as much as I would have liked, but now I can finally wear a 10 finger mani without being sad :) This only needs two coats for full opacity and really is great even though it is not that unique, just necessary and beautiful.

I think the first two from this collection was really unique. What do you think? Will you be hunting these on Asos?

Guestblogger Rikkes design

Hi girls.

Today I have a guestpost from Rikke who won my secret december giveaway. I made her the option that she could make a guest post and she accepted. She wanted to do something for christmas but because I was away the post comes a little late but we had an understanding about that:)

This is what she send me over email:

Translated:
Hi, my name is Rikke, I was so lucky to win Amalies giveaway and she asked me to do a mani using at least one of the polishes she send me. And I said yes :)
Here it is then, my mani from christmas eve. I used two polishes: OPI - Manicurist of Seville (from Amalie) and an art liner from H&M.
I chose to make preasants :)

Here is the picture of the contents of the secret gift she won.
I can tell it was OPI "Manicurist of seville", Oh my Gosh "Banana Shake" and "Sweet Hearts", Depend nr. 4012 with red glitter, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Glitter Gun" with white and gold hex glitters and bar glitters and lastly Rimmel Space Dust "Total Eclipse"

In a few months I thing I will have a new giveaway and I think the idea of asking for a guestpost is a great idea so I will certainly do that again.

The celebration of a cat - fotd, notd

Today we had a little party. It was a celebration of the cuteness of a cat called misiu who is very popular where I live, but actually it was just grown up people that needed a reason to eat to much cake. And it was great!

For the cat i used essie chincilly, essie sable collar and a milky gina tricot. all crelly-ish polishes so they whrre easy to blend to make it look like real fur. actually the car was easy done. I started by making the base with essie chincilly, with a small pensel I added sable collar and outlined the cat harsh. Added white for the belly and blended with chincilly.
the base for most of the nails are pretty&pollished boots and bows

I never attend parties so I had to dress up just a little. Eyeshadow used are from the naked 2 palette and lipstick is maxfactor lilac wine
the earring is from the brand pilgrim and got it from my sweet boyfriend<3

Nice day with great friends
