Glitter and Gradient

Hi again

For today the theme is Glitter. I wanted to use Polish me Silly (formerly Luch Lacquer) "Clowning Around" as the glitter and made a base of Essie "Fiji" with  gradient neon tip with China Glaze Sunsational "Highligh of my Summer"

My only complant is that Clowning Around have to much base and is runny to work with :/ thats why I've only used it once. That's such a shame.

Fancy Friday: Holo-Madness

Well typical as it is I didn't want to wear holo at the time up to this theme, but luckily I did this manicure some time ago when I wanted to try my two holographic Elevation Polishes again. I reviewed them here.

The polishes is: Echinops & Muztagh Ata

I was very dissaponited by Echinops, the holo was totally gone that day nomatter how much light it gave it, I still can't explain that. But then I wore it again and i found the holo! I decided to try if Muztagh Ata was good for stamping, and I think the combination is so nice and sweet.

I stamped with the MoYou London Mother Nature Landscape collection nr. 02. It's one of my favorite plates<3

New Hair - Cut it myself

Hi :)

Quick post of today. I cut my hair. Yes I did it myself and I've done that many times before.
I have practiced on myself since I got short hair and have also cut a page on myself. You will fail, you need to get a grip on it and understand your own hair structure, volume and how it falls from your head. When you do that you can cut your own hair even better than a professional, cause they dont see you that often, they don't style your hair every day, see how it holds through out the day and so. If you can cut, you can make yourself responsible for your hair all the time instead of being sad about the professionals work and the money spend.

Swatch and Nail art: Picture Polish Jasmine

I ordered this polish ages ago on NorwayNails. I love it so much that I've worn it three times since I got it but I wanted to show it in all it's pride and I really got problems holding the bottle, so I have so incredible many photos of this polish on my nails but none good enough before now for the blog.
AND it looks like an Easter egg on my nails so the time is perfect for me showing it now;)

Swatch: Maybelline Street Artist

Hi Girls:)

Normally I heard about a polish before they hit Denmark (as Denmark is the last place on earth nail polishes arrive;)), but last week I came across something I had not heard about but I was very exited. It was the Maybelline Street Artist collection, staring at me with big blue eyes as I was in the Danish store Magasin in Copenhagen. Sephora in Illum in Copenhagen have just got the Sephora X Formular nail polishes (and not the whole range of cause and for a insane prize...) but I instantly saw that they looked like some of the colors, and I bought all 4 on the spot!
I am very happy for my buy and I show them today so people near a store that sells maybelline limited edition polishes have a change to go and get these for easter :)

Here is the colors. From left to right:
White Splatter, Alley Attitude, Boom Box Black and Urban Vibe

A decision about beauty

Hi girls

I have in a looong time not felt like doing any beauty blogs, that's why they are missing on the blog lately. I do have some ideas I originally wanted to do but I think it is much harder to make beauty related posts as they consume time and it can be so hard to take pictures where the colors are completely true for an example if I wanted to take a picture of blush swatches.

I've decided that my blog will mainly be about nail polish from now on. If I want to do a beauty post someday I will, but as I don't really want to right now I don't want to kick myself for not doing it, and I don't think my beauty posts are the reason why most of you follow me anyway. So it's just a disclaimer but not anything I think will change anything as I've not blogged about beauty for a long time now. Look out for more nail fun on the blog instead :)

Wonderful Sky

Genius that the weather wanted to wear that awful boring grey jacket on the day for this theme... But that's exactly how danish weather is: always opposite of what you would expect:P But luckily this happened on my nails and the weather decided to get rid of the jacket at the same time;)  I think the pink cloud made it more different and romantic. I've actually never done this design before, a shame when it is so cute.

Here it is with ordinary topcoat:

Swatch: 6 Kiko Cupcake textured polishes

Wooow my fingers grew back out over night while I was asleep. Yay! Let's celebrate that with a swatching post ;) Read my aprils fool here

Sooooo I did more damage and had to see how I would like the new Kiko Cupcake textured polishes, so I bought six from their website that finally ships to Denmark<3 And fast shipping :o very fast, took a week for it to arrive. Nice :)

Originally I wanted the Nicole By OPI Roughles polishes, but they are to hard to find from a ebay seller that ships to DK. But I like the Kikos so I would recommend them as a alternative.

For all of these polishes there are some similarities:
  • They are a creme polishes with some sort of red and blue powder blended in (exept for anise)
  • They are rough textured polishes
  • They only need two coats for coverage and great easy consistensy

The colors I bought are from left to right:
Wisteria, Anise, Mint, Pistachio, Strawberry, Lilac

Here is close up swatches on swatch sticks:

*Disclaimer: Yes I have very dry hands*

Wisteria - Is a light cornflower blue that leans a little purple in tone. The color is beautiful, but for my taste I don't think the red powder suits it... but another person do think so cause I've already sold it:) But I'm happy I got to try it cause the color is very sweet and springy.

Anise - Is a light blue and this is unique in this collection as the blue powder is lighter and brighter than in the other polishes. I think its fun and very young so I will give it a try. In the photos it makes my hands look a little red but it wasn't that bad in real life.

Mint - Is a light green with a little blue tones in it. Such a nice color combination! I really love it. But reminds me more of pistachio than mint. I don't like mint so I hate that name appears so often in nail polish names that reminds me of pistachio...

Pistachio - Is a greentoned yellow base color. I think more of pickles in some way instead of pistachio... (wish they would have named mint pistachio instead - I mostly bought this for the name. Pistachio is the shiiit<3<3<3). But I think it is pretty obvious that this does not suit me AT ALL. I have already sold this. But that said I wish it suited me cause I still like the actual color combinations.

Strawberry - Is a warm light pink, or you could also say it's a light pinky coral base. On the pictures it looks like the same color of my hands xD, apparently this polish confused my camera, I promise there was bigger contrast so in these pictures don't look at my hands but at the polish color cause that is true:)

Lilac - Is a cool toned light pink color. This is so fun to wear and I am wearing as a complete manicure right now. In reality it is definitely pink but it's very subtle and charming from a distance and when you look at it close up yu can see how weird it is. I like a polish that:)

Will you be buying any of the kikos? Or will you use their website to get hold of anything else you want? I also bought some eyeshadows ;) I have no shame in my life haha.

Instead of Happy Monday an accident happened :(

Something really bad happened to me:(

Do you know those kinds of paper cutters that looks like a hand driven guillotine? I have always been afraid of them and with good reason. When in the same room as such a thing you need to be careful and aware ALL THE FREAKING TIME! Else this happens (on both hands):

It's really sad especially with all my new followers, but at least I've still got my thumbs so I think we can go on.

Hope you all had a better 1. april than me.
