Swatch Wednesday: Snow polishes

Here in Denmark the weather is not at all close to snowing now, but if it snows where you live or you need some pretty snow polishes for December I hope this blogpost will help you.

For today I have swatched Picture Polish "Stormy" and China Glaze "The Outher Edge"

Both polishes released recently in 2014

Of cause these can be shown over many different colors. For these photos I chose a plain grey shade to create a contrast but not a contrast that is too big.

Picture Polish "Stormy" - is a clear base with four different sizes of hex glitter

A normal glitter combination in only one color. It was very glitter dense, but it made it a little hard to apply if you don't want the bigger hexes to clump together, so you need to work with this to place the glitters with space between them. One layer of topcoat will not even this out sadly.

China Glaze "The Outher Edge" - is a clear base with small white hex glitter and silver micro glitter. The silver glitter is a uniqueness with this polish and how it plays with the sun is very pretty, but very hard to capture in photos as the glitters are so small.

Easy to apply, actually i think this could cover by itself as it is very glitter dense. I had to moderate what was on the brush before applying it as I wanted a separated snow kind of look.

I hope you liked these polishes ad the swatches.

The picture polish can be bought at places as norwaynails.com and color4nails.com, and the china glaze polish was bought on ebay from the seller BeautyZone2007

  1. […] I used Picture Polish “Blue Dog” for the base and “Storm” for a little falling snow “Blue Dog” is new to my stash and a really pretty dark grey polish with blue shimmer and some silver flakes. It needs three coats to cover. “Storm” I have swatched and writen about here. […]
