The theme of today was supposed to be a recreation of another bloggers nail design.
I hope the other girls from Fancy Friday won't be mad at me for this, but I don't ever feel the lust to recreate a design in every detail. I look at other peoples nail designs to recognize their skills and get inspiration, but I don't wish to recreate cause I always get a better idea for my liking. So it was very hard for me to find something i wanted to recreate... And I didn't find any.
But I wanted to get on the wagon again so instead of doing as told, I will do something I have thought about doing for a long time inspired by many different people and give it my own touch while I try to match a thing I own.
I am talking about leopard print. I have wanted to try this for years, but even though I want my designs to be unique I don't want to sit a whole day fighting for it. For me it has to be unique, easy and perfect.
The thing I have as my more strict inspiration instead of a mani is this infinity scarf I just bought last week in NewYorker on Strøget in Copenhagen. I think it is so cute and I instantly thought I had to make this my reason for trying leopard print.
The navy color is just what is needed for these pastel colors to work all year. At least I think they do;)
The polishes used is:
Models Own "Beth's Blue", Models Own "Lilac Dream", OPI "Dim Sum Plum" and H&M "Midnight Mystery"
In the meantime I got home to stampingplates from MoYou London, so I wasn't going to paint the print in free hand this time either :P Luckily!
Stampingplate used is: MoYou London Pro collection 04. I used the stamp on second row, third from left.
The photo is taken from their website: www.moyou.co.uk
And here is my design
Next time I think I will use some light rosy color or just a white to make the gradient, colorshift and likeness to the scarf a bit better. But thats again just me that thinks big - but for now I am really happy for the outcome and I will for sure try this again, and I will try leopard again!
Sadly the design dragged a little bit with the topcoat but I was about to go out the door, so that's how life is.
I also did one hand without OPI Dim Sum Plum, just because I wasn't sure I would like it with the pink color, but I do think the first design is best:)
I think it got so nice! Next time i wear this scarf I will have to do this again:P
