Swatch: Models Own Scented Pastel nailpolishes with flakes for autum

Hey girls:)
Normally Fridays will be for Fancy Friday that is a collaboration between some danish nail polish bloggers, but the theme this time didn't suit me and i have so much so show so my post for today will be used for something else: Models Own Scented Pastel nail polishes swatches and a little bit of fall

Well i have been longing for these polishes since they came out a long time ago now. I heard some people being very disappointed with the consistency so I was a little scared to buy them. But I love pastels and can't get enough! And I am new to perfume and like the sweet scents, so these just sounded to good to completely pass on.
I bought the Apple Pie some months ago, but never wore it:P I just decided I didn't care when I was in London and needed them all. And now they are mine!!!  :D
In this post I will swatch the colors on my nails, review them and I will show how each pastel looks amazing with a flake topcoat and matte topcoat. I think that is a way to bring even pastels into fall in a sweet and stunning way, it's actually something I discovered last year, but it never hit the blog before now;)

This is the colors:
Grape Juice, Blueberry Muffin, Apple Pie, Banana Split, Strawberry Tart

Grape Juice - This I think has the best consistency, with two easy coats for full opacity. Not as good as Models Own Lilac Dream, but that is also the best pastel color I've ever worked with. So i remain amazed by their lilacs, Essie compared is really bad at doing light purples i think, so with these i am set. This is compared to Lilac dream a bit more blue and Lilac dream may be a little more dusty too. This is just bright and fun and the scent is as well, its a very sweet grape scent. I personally think it is pleasant, but if you don't like sweet scents that can be a little synthetic then you may not like it. But i think its a fun way to wear nail polish.

(I am not as big a fan of flakes when they shine - that's why the following pictures are with a matte topcoat)

I didn't thought that purple and orange ever could be together. I don't even know how i came up with this, but damn it it works ;D

Blueberry Muffin - This needed three coats for sure, no way this can make it with only two coats. Actually I don't have any creme blue as light as this, so this is unique in my collection and i already know I will use it for winter and I also know with what other polish;) Because it is unique to me I can definitely deal with three coats, and look how nice and clean it looks! I love it!
Blueberries is hard for me to describe because I get so confused of the tastes. If you don't know, real blueberries are also blue inside, not white as the blueberries we in Denmark buy in the food stores, that it another berry with another name, and it does not taste like blueberries but more like grapes from what i have read. And if you buy a blueberry muffin it might have gotten the taste from chemicals. When you order anything with blueberries in Denmark you can't be sure of the taste is real or fake, and actually I don't know if i have ever tasted a real blueberry so I can't tell how well the scent of this polish is.  I guess it is closer than what I know, the scent is a little stronger than the others and also a little synthetic. If you can, go and smell it yourself. It is okay but I don't like it as much as the rest.

Apple Pie - I thought this would make more problems, but with to thick coats I was satisfied with the opacity. Well  have many mint colors so this isn't unique in my collection in any other way than the smell, but that's good enough for me, i think it is special:) but maybe it is a little lighter than my other mint colors, i can certainly use this.
The scent on this is more sour than sweet. Again a little synthetic, but the only apple i like is actually the green sour ones or red apples before they get red and sweet and are extremely sour. So this is perfect for me and my understanding of that fruit:P If you only like sweet apples, maybe you wont be as pleased as i.

Again I think this is a sweet combination, but maybe not as special, I think it would be more exciting over a little darker mint color. The matte topcoat makes the base color a little lighter and it looks to close to Blueberry Muffin in my opinion to be a special combination:)

Banana Split - FINALLY I HAVE A NAIL POLISH WITH THAT NAME!!! Well it isn't unique in my stash, I have Oh My Gosh Banana Shake, but I think I will get rid of that to always have reason to use this instead;) With careful application you can get away with two coats, but I wore three coats in the picture.
The scent of this is very sweet. Sometimes when you eat a banana you don't think about how sweet it is - that is why i like to ruin it so it looks like baby food:P In that way the sweet actually become more intense. Ummm<3 That is what the scent reminds me of, and now I want banana :P
Banana is one of my favorite fruits - besides eating it, I hate that because I feel embarrassed. Any other feel that way about bananas? My solution is when I cant squash it to take little pieces of it and eat it that way so i don't have to bite over the shape:P (well you should also get to know me through my blog;))

I think this is the most boring combination of these, and i didn't thought that would be the case, but this yellow i really like on its own. It doesn't really need anything else.

Strawberry Tart - The perfect pinkish peach nail polish with two easy coats for opacity. This is what I have been looking for. Colorwise it is close to that Gina Tricot I showed long ago when the blog was still danish, but that one had horrible consistency compared to this.
The smell on this is both sweet and a little sour/synthetic, but i actually really like that compared to the strawberry smells they always use that are way to sweet, cause I think strawberries are often also sour, so this is pleasing me and i think it is more correct.
I laugh a bit in my mind every time i come across the word tart. Not that it is funny, but it reminds me that a really old man on a social website when I was a teenager commented on one of my pictures that i was "a sweet little tart" - and that was just eeeewwww xD Seriously it has been about ten years and it still grosses me out haha.

It makes sense that this works colorwise, and even though it doesn't create the same contrast as with the other colors, I think this just makes the color a little more exciting. I am gonna do this as a full mani soon i think, actually it is hard to wait:)

I am really happy finally to own these and I see a purpose for them all

It also accured to me how much I like scented nail polishes. I only have one besides these, Revlon Peach Smoothie wich smels amazing but I dont really reach for the color. Maybe i should try more out from that brand, of course the most sweet ones :P
