Well I have seen so many sweet owl manicures over the years but actually only did a owl design back this summer when I was inspired by my bathingsuit, you can see that design here. But that was very colorful and although I loved it, I wanted to do a owl mani for fall - but I had too much pressure and forgot about it. Then I recieved A-Englands "Sleeping Palace". I had seen many swatches, but it was when I saw my good instagram friend @lacquerice s swatch photos that I decided to get it. And I don't know about you, but I think this polish scream for a little owl mani :P
Here is my result:
I chose to make the owl with white acrylic paint and a teeny tiny nail art brush I have cut even smaller than it was. A good advise for when you use acrylic paint for nail art, is defenetly to use water - I am a silly girl and always paint without much water generally, but when dealing with nails it gets too clumpy if you don't water it down in consistency. That you can see on the big owl on this design, but I also experienced this problem with my halloween design. It looks good but it was not smooth on the surface before a couple layers of topcoat.
As for the A-England shade I have absolutely no complaints. It only needed two coats and lastet for four days with only one chip on my right pinkie. As you can see it is a grey/mauve-ish brown holographic polish with a pink shine in the right light. So pretty and flattering and a shade I generally enjoy very much for fall and winter.

[…] Here you can see the base polish China Glaze “Something Sweet” by itself. It is such a pretty light pink with great formula and therefore I use it a lot. I stamped with A-england “Sleeping Palace”. You can see that by itself here. […]
