Fancy Friday: Galaxy nails

This was just what I needed as a challenge. I have seen this design done a million times on youtube years ago but I somehow never got there until today.
I am very relieved because I thought it was going to be harder and more time consuming, but it was actually a peace of cake.





The polishes I used were:
China Glaze Rendezvous With You, OPI Pamplona Purple, ORLY Boho Bonnet, Models Own Beths Blue, H&M Midnight Mystery and OPI Alpine Snow


China Glaze Rendezvous With You was my base as I wanted to do this more purple than blue to make it a little different than the ordinary way to make this design, and because it has a beautifull foilish finish and i wanted to see how this would work as a base for this design, and it did make a very interesting contrast now that i made the gradient with cream polishes.
It is a lovely polish, almost a onecoater so I wanted to show you a picture of my nails with only this on first.


I chose to make the galaxy design a little harsh and not using to much time on blending. Therefore I used very little polish on the sponge to make the gradient.
First i placed a dot og OPI Pamplona Purple on the sponge and then a line of ORLY Boho Bonnet besides it. Dapped it a few times. Then I dapped a tiny bit of Models Own Beths Blue where I wanted some light between the two colors i used before. Again i didnt wanted to make a smooth gradient so this was very quikly done. Some places i thought i wanted some more colors and some places i got too much of one color so i used H&M Midnight Blue to control the gradient and make the design seem more complex, but i only used this at the tips and with a very light gradient.
Then I placed stars randomly with a small dotting tool dipped in OPI Alpine Snow and addet top coat that made it all come together in a fun way.

Here the lights show the kontrast between the creme colors and the China Glaze.

I really like this, most of all because of the colors and constrasts and I think I did manage to make this my own design and not just something that easily cut go for a recreation. Again that is to boring for me:)
