Fancy Friday: Inspired by a celebrity

For today I was inspired by this Nicki Minaj look from her music video "Super Bass"

Her first CD was right up my alley: fun, different and she herself was amazing with her pink hair that soon changed and changed and changed. I found her a inspiration all the time back then and Super Bass was my favorite song on the CD, but the second CD was a big disappointment for me, way to much techno, I want her to rap and sing, not hear some stupid extreme party melody instead of hearing her. Nahh... I'm not so interested anymore but we'll see about the third CD.

It's fun she went through that change as for an example Lady Gaga also almost went goth/rocker in her second CD, and that's boring compared to her looks when she came up in the spotlight, so I'm disappointed about both of my loves, that's so sad....

But for my design I wanted to focus on the colors of her hair and her pink-giraffe suit. So this is what I ended up with:

What I did:
All the nails where painted white with OPI "Alpine "snow"
I used the OPI Sheer tints in "Amberrassed" (yellow) and "Be Magentale With Me" (pink) for Nickis hair and for the pinkie and pointer finger. (which gave me some problems because the pink lack color and they both created bubbles... this was my first time playing with them)
The ring finger was stamped with China Glaze "Bottoms Up" and MoYou London stampingplate 04 from the Pro Collection.

Nickis face is a mess. If I am going to paint her on my nails again some day I will have very much focus on getting her eyes in the right places, they are way to close. Actually I made so many mistakes that I am really disappointed about myself but the most of the fails I did manage to correct.
I also used a way to dark brown for her skin color... but that kind of brown is not in my stash yet so that's why.

I think it is possible to translate this into a great design for summer, but of cause I will not recommend anybody to ad her face;) it can definitely look great without haha.
