Fancy Friday: Favorite Manicures of 2014

Hi girls

New year is coming right at us. It's crazy time goes past so quick. I used to think a year was such a long time, but now it seems like there is mush less time between Christmas. Well maybe I'm only enjoying life more than I did as a child. Any of you feel this way?

But for today I want to show you my favorite manicures of the year. I have, since I began to use a better camera, been batter at doing manicures I think and I have taken blogging a lot more serious since I moved the blogs domain, so naturally many of these manicures are newer ones, but I forced myself to include some older ones. So lets begin. Here is a collage:

12: Fancy Friday: Inspired by a celebrity. Posted on May 24.
When I made this I was so in doubt that anybody would recognize the celebrity. Luckily many in the danish FB-group Lakhovederne did (I didn't expect them to as she was not that big in Denmark). It is not a mani I would wear, but it was so fun to do and get feedback on.

11. Fancy Friday: Fruit and Vegetables. Posted on May 15.
This I love because of the creativity. I did this because I wanted to do something different and spectacular. Sadly my camera screwed it up a bit, but it looked amazing on.

10. Cats and Glam polish "Fern Gully". Posted on April 22.
The cats is my cats Lotus (the white) and Findus (the black). My father once painted a garden picture with them trying to catch a butterfly, he sold the picture stupid as he was....  but when I bought Glam Polish "Fern Gully" I had to use the butterflies in connection to my cats. Very sweet but I bet I could do this much better now.

9. Unicorn (featuring Glam Polish). Posted on March 17.
This was originally a challenge in a group I am not being a member of anymore. I was very proud of this because it got shared on Instagram by Glam Polish and so many people liked it. I do to but I have drawn unicorns all my life so this was not that amazing to me when I just had made it.

8. Celebration of hearts Manicure. Posted on December 8.
This design I made for me and my boyfriends four years anniversary. It is very pretty although not that creative but the colors compliment each other so nice <3.

7. Fancy Friday: Tutorial (Dragon Scales). Posted on October 23.
I love this design. It originally came to my mind when I did my toothless inspired manicure, but I recreated it for this tutorial post with a saran wrap under and it adds an amazing effect.

6. Fancy Friday: Duo (with ILNP). Posted on August 1.
This was the first time I did roses in free hand. I decided to do it my way as I wasn't satisfied with the rose techniques I could find on the internet and I love it. I also did these roses here.

5. Fancy Friday: The Leadlight Technique. Posted on November 28.
This is a technique I love and I definitely got better. This is stamped with black and I was very torn if I liked this or not as it seems so harsh, but I have come to the conclusion that I do. I have tried leadlight twice before both without black stamping, you can find them here and here, (In theory they both should have been on the list too).

4. Nail Design of art. Posted on October 26
This was actually a guest post I did for the danish bloggers Neglenymfer, see the original post here. My theme was art and I wanted to recreate the painting "Th Swing" by Jean-Honoré Fragonard. It is my favorite painting and I sat for so many hours and painted this mani. I now wish I had been using acrylic paint for the details, it probably would have been easier to be more precise. Maybe I will recreate it once again someday.

3. Fancy Friday: Inspired by my bathing suit. Posted on August 8.
This was a big gradient project and I think I made it as good as possible. I am so satisfied and I wore it for four days even though I don't like dark colors and blue on my nails. This had me changing my mind a little bit about those colors.
You can see a picture of the bathing suit I was inspired by here.

2. Fancy Friday: Halloween. Posted on October 30.
This was the first time I used acrylic paint for my nail art and as you see it alowed much control and I was sad I didn't do this shift much sooner. Besides that it was the first time I made a gradient with more than two colors, and it was so pretty that I almost didn't dare to do nail art over it. I am so pleased with this mani!

1. Fancy Friday: Cake Decoration Day. Posted on October 9.
Well actually its a tie between this and my Halloween manicure. I didn't learn as much for this manicure and it is done 100% with nail polish, but it still is a great mani and I love all th choices I took, for an example using the light nail polish with silver square glitter as base makes the attention drawn to all of the nail and not just the cupcake. And the roses are of cause the thing that really makes this manicure something pretty. Pretty things happens when you think out of the box.

I hope you have enjoyed this year or maybe just a part of it, and that you will read on into the next year here on my blog. Thank you for the support.
