Swatch: Orly "Preamp"

Today before the description and swtch photos, I want you to look at this bottleshot and imagine the beauty of Orly "Preamp" <3

"Preamp" is a gorgerous pink/orange shifting micro flakie shimmer polish in a very cold pink base

Sadly "Preamp" is a lovely shimmer in a very watery base and this will never cover 100%, it was clear to me when I swatched it on a swatch stick, so instead of even trying I pulled out the perfect color base from my stash.

Essie "Splash of grenadine" is perfect in color, they look identical except for the shimmer to me. My bottle however is a thin mess, so I wasn't saving much time as I had to put down four coats before two coats of "Preamp", and of cause that never dried. My Essie bottle should be an exception, it should be better consistency and you can read about how it is supposed to be in reviews on the internet.

Another candidate as base would be Color Club "Sweetpea" that I have owned once. I think the only difference is that that covers the nail completely in two coats and may be slightly more dusty compared to "Splash of grenadine".

Now lts go on with swatch photos

*dies*

DIES EVEN MORE!!!

It is impossible to take a picture of this in sunlight and show the shimmer truly, at least for me, so you will have to believe me when I tell you that it is amazing in sunlight too.

Even though this is horrible to put on I will not give up on it, but i might need to get a base with better opacity than that trashy Essie. I hate that Essie polishes vary so much in consistency but even more when they do under the same name. Had the same experience with Essie "Chincilly", so annoying...

Have any of you experienced this?

  1. You really make it appear so easy along with your presentation however I in finding this topic to be actually something which I believe I might by no means understand. It seems too complicated and extremely huge for me. I am having a look ahead on your next post, I will attempt to get the cling of it!
