Swatch Wednesday: China Glaze Neons

Today I have my four China Glaze neons to show you. They are all from their Suntationals Creme collection from last year but I only got my hands on them this year as my money was planned for other things last year.
I was in doubt whether or not I should get them as I heard from some bloggers that these neons weren't actually neon. I can say that I am so happy I decided to try them out cause I love them to death!

From left to right: "Neon On & On & On", "Bottoms UP", "That's Shore Bright" and "Highlight Of My Summer"

Although some of them needs more coats than others they are amazing for gradients and nail art. In the end of this post I have made a list of links so you can see how I have used them earlier.

Neon On & On & On - is a fantastic coral neon. Probably the most neon of these as you can see my hands turn totally grey in the photos. This is the newest to my collection of these polishes and as I am a little afraid of coral-orange colors I haven't worn it much. But beautiful it is, and I hope next year to be more brave, I evolve slowly;) It needs 3-4 coats of polish to cover the nail evenly all over the nail. It is not sheer so it can work fantastic for nail art, but it is just a little hard to apply with a few coats all over the nail.

Bottoms Up - is a wild Barbie pink neon and my favorite of these. I have owned this for the longest time, I think I bought it in the early spring this year and I keep going back and choose this If I have to do some pink nail art. It is perfect for those things. For a full mani it is harder as it does not even out until forth coat of polish (at least for me that want 100% coverage all over the nail), it is opaque, but somehow its hard to apply evenly just like "Neon On & On & On". But I still love it and I already think of buying a backup.

That's Shore Bright - Is a warm purple creme, and this one I will not call neon. It is bright, lovely and so, but it is not neon. That being said, if you like the color you should definitely get this as it has a great coverage in two coats. I have not had this for so long but I know this could be used for many great things. I love this shade and I am sad I didn't remember to use it that much this summer.

Highlight Of My Summer - a light mint polish. Inside it shows up much more green than outside. You need three coats of polish with this and you are good to go. Like all those mint green polishes all need in their stash, this is the little more wild version. It is neon although not crazy neon but subtle, but my camera could not pick up the neon sadly.

If you want to see how I have recently used these polishes, here is a list of links:

I hope you enjoyed the review :) As you can see I have so much great use for these, and I think I do need the to other from the cream side of the collection.

  1. […] I wanted to own the whole creme part of the collection, and I now do. I swatched the other polishes here last year and the polishes needed 3-4 coats to be opaque in that […]
