Fancy Friday: Inspired by my bathing suit

Hi girls

I was very happy about this theme as I bought the most amazing bathing suit on eBay for my trip to Florence. I showed it here when I was packing for the trip, unfortunately my suitcase arrived 5 days later than me to Florence, so I actually only used it one time during the trip. But it is still fabulous and also suits the nails;)

I used maaaaany polishes for this design.

I chose to do a rough gradient on the whole nail for two owls as accent nails, and on the rest I also did a rough gradient but not over the whole nail, just a little bit of fading splat and added some flowers over the dark places.

 

The base for all the nails are H&M "Midnight Mystery", a very pretty dusty dark blue, I also used this at the end to line up the owls over the gradient.

I made the gradient with all the blue and purple polishes. I started with the darkest and ended with the lightest. For the owls it is clear that I did one own mainly with purple and one mainly with blue colors. (China Glaze "Sweet Hook", OPI "Do You Lilac It", OPI "Dutch You Like OPI", Sally Hansen "Plum Luck", Sally Hansen "Pacific Blue", China Glaze "Electric Beat", Rimmel "Pillow Talk")
For the yellow eyes I used Etude House "Lemon".
The flowers where painted with China Glaze "Buttoms Up" and leaves painted with Rimmel "Pillow Talk".

The gradient was actually the part that took the longest time for me.
It was a great project and I am very happy for the outcome!
